Making Our World More "Palatable"
As one of the leaders in the food industry, it is imperative that we continue to deliver innovations that would enrich every Filipino meal experience. Likewise, we must constantly seek and bring livable and manageable solutions to the need to satisfy Filipinos’ nutritional requirements as well as to nourish the well-being of young Filipino generations with proper values and education.
In line with our mission to enable great meals that would make people happy, NutriAsia expands CSR efforts by focusing on undernourished children. Led by the Management, NutriAsia’s first official CSR Program was formally launched last October 28, 2009 at Pulo Elementary School, Cabuyao Laguna.
NUTRI-ASIA GABAY KALUSUGAN PROGRAM
TheGabay Kalusugan Program was initiated to respond to Republic Act 8525, otherwise known as An Act Establishing the "Adopt-A-School Program" - that is to assist in the delivery of better quality education and to improve health and nutritional conditions of undernourished students in the public elementary schools.
Through this sustainable supplemental feeding program, we aim to provide our employees an opportunity to impart their time, treasure, and talent to selected communities close to where NutriAsia operates. Establishing such a program would strengthen our commitment to address the needs of the community within Nutri-Asia's business environment.
The objective of the program is to normalize the nutritional levels of 454 undernourished children from grades 1 to 3 within a span of six months. This can be done by providing them with nutritious school meals every morning. The promise of one nutritious meal each school day not only motivates parents to send their kids to school but also promotes regular school attendance and improved school performance.
Apart from the feeding activities, we would also facilitate AHA and learning sessions to students, parents and teachers during our monthly visits to increase their knowledge on Basic Nutrition as well as on Proper Health, Safety, Environment, and Hygiene.
Gabay Kalusugan Program not only provides vital nourishment to undernourished bodies but also focuses on the holistic growth of Filipino children.
